When Tammy Mazzocco got into the real estate business, it was when she started working as a secretary for a nine-man commercial real estate company. She held successive administrative positions for the next nine to ten years when in 1999 she decided to get into the sales part of the business.
As per Ideamensch, Tammy joined her mentor and friend, Judy Gang of the Judy Gang team with RE/MAX Realty and she has never regretted a second of the experience. Tammy gets the most pleasure out of helping families find their new homes as well as the adventure of looking.
When asked what has kept her going all of these years, Tammy says that the ability to set meaningful goals, and then to break them down into easy action steps is a big key to her success. Her main objective is to get as many days as possible out showing homes to families, and this process helps her to do that.
She also says that she learned early not to take herself too seriously, and to never fear failure because it is a temporary and necessary process to get through. What seems like failure is simply a step that happens, and instead of letting it block you, you simply get through it and move on. Tammy always tries to treat prospective clients as she would wish to be treated herself. She is always very respectful of their time and investment that they are going to make in this new adventure of buying a house. Many new home buyers are in a vulnerable situation, and they need lots of help with the process. Tammy has learned that they appreciate the bond that is formed between her and the buyers because it does translate into a good relationship, and thus more sales.
Tammy arrives early to the office and gets the paperwork and emails out of the way. Then she is on the phone setting appointment. She likes to spend most of her time away from the office showing houses, as that is the key to more sales.
